TNA Genesis 2010 will be a historic night for TNA because this will be the official debut of the most popular wrestler known to man, Hulk Hogan. He’s been around the industry for ages! He moved from show to show coming from WWE to WCW to WWE again and now he’s in TNA. Will this PPV cement TNA’s power in PPV? Or will it fold just like other promotions that went up against WWE?
Hogan made a promise that he will revolutionize the sport in this PPV. The card would most likely be headed by Amazing Red versus a mystery opponent. Could it be that TNA acquired a high profile wrestler and their savoring it for the match before they actually reveal it? I sure hope so. Because the last thing I want to see Red fighting is some no name masked man that would make his debut in the wrestling scene. I really hope that this event really lives up to its hype and deliver a spectacular PPV that’s actually worth paying for.
The last time they debuted a popular wrestler was during TNA Impact when Jeff Hardy a man whose merchandise outsold John Cena’s last year was horribly debuted. He came out with boring music and fought in a cage that you could barely see what’s happening. i sure hope they learned from their mistakes this time and reveal the new acquisition and debut him in an explosive fashion.
The main event of this card is a match between Kurt Angle and newcomer AJ Styles. This card also features Strikeforce fighter Bobby Lashley versus Abyss. Lashley’s match is probably the most peculiar of them all. I thought he left wrestling once and for all but his appearance in this PPV proved otherwise. Perhaps he didn’t make enough money in mma?
